WORK PROCESS
After consultation and discussions, we decided to work on an infographic to
present out final work. Xi Tien, Xin Yean and Nicole do research on the
patterns used, while I will be applying these patterns to the sunshade
design and help Jia Xuan in infographic design. The presentation slides will
be prepared by Cheyenne.
After receiving patterns from my groupmates, I started to apply the patterns
into the sunshade using Procreate.

I then developed presentation visuals to illustrate the usability of the design,
incorporating human figures for better context. These final visuals were refined
and composed using Photoshop by combining the sunshade sketch, human figure and
images taken in Titiwangsa Park.

After further discussions, we decided to include a comparison section to
highlight the differences in usability between the proposed sunshade design
and the existing structure like stone chairs in the park.

FEEDBACK
Week 6: Mr. Fitri approved the sketches and ideas. He also suggested that it would be better if we include some cultural elements in sunshade and comparison at the slides.
REFLECTION
This group assignment gets smoother as we work, thanks to all my groupmates that are willing to word out their opinion and communicate with each other while meeting problems. By working on this project, we get to think more deeply in different perspectives while designing to overcome a problem. First, we did online research to investigate problems, which appears to be the shallowest way to identify the problem. After understanding the basic problems, we went on field study to experience and prove the problem to provide a better solution. This step helped us develop a more practical and user-centered solution. After providing solution by enhancing its mechanism, Mr. Fitri suggest us to improve its appearance by including some cultural elements, making the design more meaningful to its surroundings. This project guided us through a clear design process, from identifying problems, validating them through real-world observation, to refining solutions based on feedback. It highlighted the importance of empathy, iteration, and collaboration in creating a effective design.
