Reflection
In this assignment, I was introduced to Adobe After Effects for the first time, marking my initial step into animation creation. I began by focusing on improving color contrast, especially in the background, to help distinguish the different layers more effectively and add visual depth. I also explored ways to create a more dynamic composition by adjusting the position and scale of vector elements. For instance, I varied the sizes of the lanterns to create a sense of depth and perspective. Rather than aligning all the background lanterns in a straight line, I angled them slightly to make the scene feel more natural and visually engaging. The water splash was also adjusted into a more rounded, flowing form to enhance its movement and energy.

Reflecting on the outcome, I see areas that could be improved. The gold stroke, while decorative, may not need to appear throughout the entire artwork. Reducing its use could help create clearer visual hierarchy and stronger layering, allowing key elements to stand out more effectively. As for the animation, I believe it could be refined to feel smoother and more natural, with more fluid transitions and timing to enhance the overall rhythm and believability of the movement.
