Reflection
Task 1 was particularly useful as it emphasized the importance of colour correction in balancing the overall visual quality of a video. This technique is essential because some clips may be overexposed or appear too dark, and colour correction helps achieve visual consistency across different shots. In addition, colour grading plays a key role in enhancing the emotional tone of the video, especially in situations where lighting conditions may have been overlooked during filming. I intend to continue applying these techniques in future video editing projects, as they significantly improve both visual clarity and emotional impact.
Task 2 provided a new and enjoyable experience, particularly during the shooting process. Although the final stage was challenging due to time constraints and the need to maintain attention to detail, it highlighted the importance of teamwork and effective communication. Breaking tasks into clear roles allowed each team member to contribute efficiently to the production process.
The editing phase brought together most of the skills learned throughout the course, including colour correction, colour grading, noise reduction, sound effects, and music integration. This process helped reinforce my understanding of how these elements work collectively to create a cohesive and polished final video.
